CURRENT/UPCOMING EVENTS
The Baylor Baseball Academy is hosting a wide range of camps this summer as kids from seven years old to high school seniors will be able to participate. Four different camps with several options will take place from June to August.
The Day Camps are for ages 7-12 and will focus on the basic fundamentals of hitting, throwing and fielding. Games will be played daily to emphasize team defense and base running. Campers will be grouped by age and/or skill level. There will be two sessions, the first from June 18-21 and the second from June 24-27. Lasting from 9 a.m. to noon each day, the cost is $195.
The Overnight College Experience Camp is for ages nine to high school seniors. Running from July 7-10, all players will participate in games Sunday evening while the rest of the camp will run from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday. The experience includes breakfast, lunch and dinner breaks. Campers will be divided into leagues with players placed according to age and/or skill level. Comprehensive instruction in all phases of the game will be given as well as instruction at individual positions. Cost is $525 for overnight campers and $475 for commuters. Overnight campers will need to bring sheets, blankets, pillows, towels, personal toiletries and night time clothes.
The Elite Prospect Camps are for 2013 - 2016 High School Graduates (current 9th - 12th graders). Costing $200, two sessions are available with one on June 17 and the other on August 17. A phenomenal way to get premium exposure to the Baylor coaching staff, the camp is designed to combine instruction, competition and repetition for high school-aged players that are serious about taking their game to the next level. Players will be divided into teams based on position and each camper will received a Baylor baseball t-shirt.
Team Camps are also available with flexible weekend dates. Check-in will be on Friday at noon and the camp will end Saturday night. For inquiries on dates and cost, e-mail baseball@baylor.edu.
